Sprint TRIATHLON Race Course for July
20th 2008 Event
COURSE DESCRIPTION
SWIM 1/4 mile
Starts at Oxnard Beach Park north of the Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Resort. The race begins on the sand with a short run into the water. For safety, lifeguards will decide swim direction around the buoys on race day. We anticipate calm conditions and a water temp of 68 degrees wetsuits are recommended!!
BIKE 12.3 miles (Single Loop)
- Exit the Transition Area on the south side of the Oxnard Beach Park parking lot

Left Turn (north) on Harbor Blvd. (Riders must stay to the right side in the bike lane)
- Right Turn on Wooley Rd.

U-Turn at end of center median
- Back on to Harbor (north)

Right on Gonzales Road
Right (south) on Victoria. (Riders will be cautioned to slow down and not overtake one another!)
- Right Turn on 5th Street (Riders will be cautioned to slow
down and not overtake one another!)

Turnaround is at the end of 5th Street before Harbor Blvd.
- Right Turn on Victoria (Riders will be cautioned to slow
down and not overtake one another!)
- Right Turn on Channel Islands Blvd. (Riders will be cautioned
to slow down and not overtake one another!)

Over the bridge.
- Left Turn into Oxnard Beach Park, back to the Transition
Area.
THIS IS AN OPEN RACE COURSE!!! YOU MUST AWARE AT ALL TIMES AND BE PREPARED TO OBEY ALL TRAFFIC SIGNS AND OFFICIALS.
