Note Regarding Age: The age group of all participants will be determined by age on Dec. 31 of the
event year, not by age on race day. For example: If you turn 25 years old in July
of 2008, you will race and be ranked in the 25-29 age group for the entire 2008
season.
*USAT Junior Elite Cup Divisions: The Strawberry Fields Junior Elite Cup is one of three USAT-designated, national-level youth and junior elite events. The races are designed to provide a more advanced experience for youth (13-15) and junior (16-19) athletes that are interested in challenging their racing skills in the draft-legal format. There are no qualifying criteria, but it is highly recommended that each athlete have some experience with draft-legal bicycle racing. USAT recommends experience with bike handling skills as well as competitive swim expertise. Additional information can be found in the Junior Elite FAQ.

Each athlete will acquire ranking points toward a National Youth Elite and Junior Elite ranking. USAT Southwest Region will also recognize regional athletes with a sub-class of awards and regional rankings. If you have any questions about any of the junior programs, races, camps, etc, please contact Sharon Osgood (Regional Athlete Development Coordinator) at
Monterey Bay Multisport.
